Our Journey
At Rubix Children's Home, we believe in nurturing young people's potential and empowering them to become confident, resilient, and successful adults. With our individualised care packages, we can strategise and benchmark our expectations. We evaluate our programs by listening and reflecting on the feedback we receive from our young people.
Our Approach
We understand that each child is unique, with specific needs and challenges. That's why we provide a holistic approach to our children’s well-being. Our team of experienced professionals and partnered interventions are focused on providing the necessary care, support, stability, and continuity that our young people require to grow and flourish. All young people will be provided with the following:
- Safe and Caring Environment: We aim to create a safe, caring, and supportive environment for children who have experienced disruption in their development and often multiple placement moves. We prioritise their safety and well-being, ensuring they feel secure and loved.
- Development of Essential Skills: Our team is committed to helping children develop essential life skills, promoting self-care and independence, and ensuring their personal safety. By teaching practical skills and fostering a sense of responsibility, we empower them to become confident and capable individuals.
- Positive Self-Image and Identity: We believe in cultivating a positive self-image and clear identity in each child. Through personalised care and guidance, we encourage them to embrace their unique qualities, strengths, and cultural heritage, fostering a strong sense of self and belonging.
- Academic Achievement: Education plays a crucial role in shaping a child's future. We prioritise academic achievement and provide the necessary resources and support to help children succeed academically. We work closely with schools and educators to ensure they receive a quality education and reach their academic potential.
- Positive Relationships and Emotional Resilience: Our team believes building healthy and positive relationships is essential for a child's emotional well-being. We focus on fostering positive connections with caregivers, peers, and the broader community. Through therapeutic support and emotional guidance, we help children develop resilience, cope with challenges, and build meaningful relationships.
- Physical Health and Well-being: We prioritise the physical health and well-being of the children in our care. We provide nutritious meals, promote physical activity, and ensure access to healthcare services. By fostering a healthy lifestyle, we support their overall well-being and long-term health.
Our Dedicated Team
The Referral Process
We partner closely with Local Authorities, social workers, and commissioning teams throughout the UK to facilitate a smooth, responsive referral process. Our goal is to ensure the best possible match between a child or young person's specific needs and the supportive environment offered by our homes and services.
- Initial Enquiry & Information: To initiate the referral process or inquire about current placement availability, please contact our dedicated Referrals Coordinator directly. You can reach us via Email: info@rubixchildrenshome.com Phone: +44 (0)7424481075
- Assessment & Matching: Upon receiving the referral information, our team will promptly review the details. We conduct a thorough assessment process, often involving discussions with current carers and professionals, to fully understand the young person's strengths, challenges, and support requirements. This allows us to identify the most appropriate Rubix service and specific home environment (if applicable).
- Placement Planning & Agreement: Once a suitable match is identified, we collaborate with the referring authority, the young person (where appropriate), family members, and other stakeholders to develop a comprehensive, outcome-focused Placement Plan. This includes agreeing on key goals, support strategies, and review schedules before the placement begins.
- Ongoing Communication & Review: Following admission, we maintain proactive and transparent communication. Regular placement reviews are held involving all key parties to monitor the young person's progress, celebrate achievements, and adapt the support plan as their needs evolve.
